Living in the suburbs of Chicago, I have a lot of commuting men and women in my life. Many of them have early departures and return home late in the evenings. Many have also reported that they were negatively affected -at the workplace and at home - by their commutes.
Patchwork Sky
Welded Steel and Cellophane - Fall 2018
Patchwork Sky invites viewers to pause and look upward. Suspended in space like a patchwork canopy, its translucent, color-shifting panels transform the sky into a shifting mosaic of light and hue. As clouds drift and sunlight filters through, the installation reframes the vastness above into something intimate, playful, and ever-changing.
